Just wow! I love you, Steph! To know that I’m loved as a proud white woman? Yes, sis! REPOST FROM @latina_poetica:
“I don’t know if any of you had the pleasure of listening to @jiaomg on hesaidshesaidradio this morning, but whew. When I tell you that I have NEVER known anyone who stood so unapologetic and unabashedly in their truth like Jia does. From day one, I was a fan of her blog bc I always felt like she was a “real chick” like me.. She had shortcomings and flaws like the rest of us but spent far less effort on trying to bury them as so many of us often do. I was intrigued by her honesty. Sometimes brutally honest, she always claimed that she “ain’t for everybody.” I loved that. As a woman who has lived through extremely low lows, I always envied her candor and her ability to bask in the sometimes obtrusive shadow of her past. I wanted that. So I followed her. I tuned in. I was inspired. Not too long ago, I had the pleasure of actually getting to know her on a personal level and I can assure you that she is exactly as she seems. Funny.. A little crazy.. Honest.. Sexy.. Confident.. Flawed.. Beautiful. She is the reason I have committed myself to bettering my health in a variety of ways. #12thehardway is her brainchild. I’ll be doing a 5K next month which is something I would’ve NEVER done before simply because she urged me to do so. I think I speak on behalf of so many women when I say that Jia is an inspiration and a more than appropriate candidate for #wcw. Thank you so much and I love you boo!”

Day 10 #100HappyDays // #OMGIMHAPPY // #DreasHappy100: Knowing the accuracy of this photo. Now, I dunno who thought it was a good idea to make Kenny Loggins God, but the sentiment is still felt.😂 If you don’t know anything else about me, know that I absolutely love God. I have so many stories of things that He’s managed to save me from. Sometimes, the saving was almost immediate. Other times? I was literally falling right off the cliff and He swooped in and saved me. I don’t always understand God’s reasoning for things, but O/our history shows me that He always has one. It feels good to know that in moments when I can’t rely on anyone else, His love and concern for me is so strong and unwavering. I always try to tell people about how amazing He is, and that if you’re going to be faithful, worrying is not an option. Just as the photo implies, He is here and always wants you to trust Him for “better.” My faith in my Father makes me happy! 😊EVERYBODY should get into that happiness!!

It’s definitely an interesting visual project.
